About

My passion is helping individuals and businesses think differently about the challenges they are up against. Too often strategies are constrained by perceived limitations and possibilities. While companies attempt to innovate by “thinking out of the box” they get stuck in consistent patterns of thinking or constrained by trying to do anything but the status quo (“out of the box”). I believe that innovation and opportunity comes from simply ignoring the box. Don’t rebel, don’t judge, simply suspend disbelief and consider the possibilities. Being comfortable with soaking in the possibilities allows the opportunity to find real innovation.

In this blog, I will explore a number of perspectives to approaching the business problem. Specifically, I hope to explore how the broad interdisciplinary perspective of design thinking can be applied to small businesses. Design Thinking is unique in that if focuses on the process of problem solving as opposed to classifying a problem to a specific technical discipline. This process is independent of technical discipline and can fluidly draw multiple technical skills into the solution process.

I invite you to join in the discussions. Together we can explore the possibilities.
